There's a film version in black and white with Vivien Leigh. I didn't enjoy it very much, and I loved the book and Vivien Leigh. So take that for what you will.
There's a couple with Garbo, one silent and one not. I liked them both. She's good with the wretched looks.
I'm currently reading "Anna Karenina." I love it.
