Well, the first month has passed in my 2010 reading resolution -- lets see how I did, shall we?

I read "The Shadow of the Wind" in January too.

I'm not only impressed and a little jealous that you set such an organized resolution list, but also that you're doing so well with it. Every January reminds me that I'm not very good with long term goals. Then I realized I should just stop setting them...

Biblibio - don't give me credit just yet. I tried a similar resolution last year and crapped out 33 books in (there were about 50 more to go).

I'm hoping to do better this year...

I have some interesting news about your anticipated books for 2010.

I met Tracy Chevalier, and got a signed copy of Remarkable Creatures, and I got an advanced reading copy of Yann Martel's Beatrice and Virgil.

Yes, the Chevalier was inscribed to little old me! I talked to her about Girl with Pearl Earring, and she reached into a bag, pulled out a paperback copy and GAVE it to me after signing that!

It was quite a trip to Boston!
